Healthy isn?t something you are or aren?t. It?s a hundred little things: eating a banana, walking in the park, putting a bandage on a boo-boo, playing tag, reading up on ways to keep you and your family well and safe. It?s a balance between living well and taking care, and you can start right where you are.

Yuck! It’s In the Bag

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

Many a mom has morning sickness tales to tell, and most of us know the “morning” part is more flexible than we’d like. But few can afford to stay house-bound for months to avoid a whoops in the car.

A simple solution you won’t get sick of is Chuck the Yuck ($4.99 for a package of three, www.chucktheyuck.com). These attractive little barf bags are small enough to tuck into a purse or other tote, yet big enough to handle just about anything that – ahem – comes up. They’re water tight and feature a secure fold-over-and-twist closure at the top.

These are also great for sick kids, in the car or out, or other small and yucky things you might need to bag and toss (and with children, the possibilities here are endless).

They were created by three sister-moms, and a portion of the proceeds is donated to the ALS Association, dedicated to finding a cure for Lou Gehrig’s disease.
