Tip From ‘The Doctors’: Try Something New

the-doctorsThis week, daytime television show ‘The Doctors’ kicked off the new year with 52 tips for better health. That’s one a week – and just in case you missed them, I’ll be blogging about each one.

Tip #1: Try something active and new. How can that improve your health? Because new exercise experiences cause your body to release endorphins, “feel good” hormones that occur naturally in the body. Endorphins relieve pain, reduce stress, and give you a sense of well-being. That, in turn, might spur you to exercise a bit more, releasing more endorphins and … well … you get the idea!
